Let's Check out the new TV Show

I was contacted to get you excited about this new TV show called Stars Earn Stripes”. IT LOOKS PRETTY COOL and it has some of my favorite stars in here, especially Nick Lachey and Dean Cain...What a couple of hotties, and I tell you what remember when Dean was Clark in Lois and Clark (ages ago) I had such a crush on this TV superstar or remember when Nick and Jessica had the show on MTV, I totally thought that was cute, she was so naive in some of her thinking and he was so HOT, still is very hot....sorry got off topic...

This new show benefits military veterans and first-responder charities. The charities featured on the show serve to benefit the people currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, those who have previously served and the families connected. Please share my post with everyone you know!

IF YOU HAD A QUESTION for the stars of the show what would you ask?

Stars Earn Stripes” (premiering August 13th at 8/7C on NBC) follows eight celebrities, as they gather at a remote training facility and are challenged to execute complicated missions inspired by real military exercises.
These organizations have partnered with the show, hoping to shed light on the grueling tasks that our U.S. Armed Forces face daily in order to protect our country and our safety.
During each challenge, the teams will be competing for a cash prize on behalf of their selected charities, including:

  • MILITARY CHILD EDUCATION COALITION, which works to ensure quality education opportunities for military connected children.
  • WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT, which provides medical care to injured service members after their period of active duty.
  • THE PAT TILLMAN FOUNDATION honors Pat Tillman by providing education scholarships and community opportunities to military veterans and their spouses.
  • THE BADGE OF HONOR MEMORIAL FOUNDATION hopes to provide the families of officers who have been killed in the line of duty a lasting symbol of recognition for the life of service, as well as providing the survivors of officers with statutory benefits.
  • ARMED SERVICES YMCA OF ALASKA provides educational, recreation and social programs and opportunities to all service members and their families
  • HIRING OUR HEROES helps to find jobs and maximize job opportunities for veterans and military spouses.
  • GOT YOUR 6 is a campaign led by the entertainment industry to support veterans and military families, promoting their societal role as leaders and civic assets.
  • United Service Organization, or USO, privately funds programs in an effort to lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families.
Hosted by General Wesley Clark (retired) and Samantha Harris, "Stars Earn Stripes" is an action-packed competition show that pays homage to the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces and our first-responder services.

  1. This show hasn’t even aired yet but has gotten lots of criticism. I’m the type of person that wants to be the judge of what makes for a good show. Hopefully those that feel this show isn’t up to par will see that the idea behind it – giving the winnings to a military charity – is generally a good one. I can watch the show with the Dish remote access app which streams live TV or what’s on my DVR straight to my iPad. A Dish co-worker actually made me aware of the app and so far it has been invaluable. I’ll be watching the premiere on the train ride home so I don’t fall behind.

  3. I really like the concept of this show, but I'm a little disappointed that MOST of the contestants aren't just "normal" celebrities - they're professional athletes, personal trainers, etc. They're people who're already in great shape. I'd like to see someone who isn't famous for their fitness competing in the show. Nick, Dean, and Mr. Palin are the closest we have to "normal."

  4. @ Erin, I do agree that they need not normal celebrities, some who maybe out of shape so to speak, LOL.... I agree there are some professional looking athletes
