My Weekly Wine Report..my favorite "frizzante"
lcome to my weekly featured wine. I LOVE THIS WINE! I had a wine tasting in Dec 2007 with the Traveling Vineyard. I had two wines a white wine and a red. SO I am in search of this wine again! The company is SOLD out and let me tell you I have one bottle of the red wine left...which I will drink on a special occasion.
SO let me say I am not a DRY wine person, it has to be sweet.
If you are interested in having a wine celler check out this page BELOW.
It does not describe the styles of wines by colour, sweetness, or fizz. Which wine types a cellar could hold is suggested in the buying guide. Please find herebelow basic varietal descriptions and pronunciations, tasting terms, plus suggestions on pairing the wines with food.
A variety is the type of grape. It is written here with a lower-case initial. If only variety is mentioned on the bottle label, then the wine is called varietal and is named after the grape with a capital initial (Riesling, Pinot Noir, etc.). A varietal wine primarily shows the fruit: the grape variety dominates the flavour.
These two wines below are my TOP FAVES!
Meda Margherita Moscato d'Asti Piedmont Italy 2007
Don’t let the dark yellow color dope you. This booze is installed with super-ripe ripened offspring aromas and flavors of mandarin. It’s fragrant, easily honeyed and possesses a peaceful fizziness or "frizzante", creation it distinct your standard dessert wine. Its flavors have been quite extended when served with dry or thickk cream desserts and uninformed fruit.
