So you have ORDERS to PCS to Ft Bragg, NC

It seems so many military families are PCS’ing to Fort Bragg. Throughout the months I have been watching people say I am coming to Fort Bragg I have compiled all of your questions for these types of posts. I really hope you find it helpful. When we PCSed from Ft Riley KS to Fort Bragg, NC, we actually called Picerne Housing and filled out an application, we stayed with family before we actually went and got housing immediately. Depends on your rank and which neighborhood. Sometimes people can move right in and sometimes there is a wait. These answers I have researched from Picerne Military Housing and around Fayetteville, NC.

1) How do I go about getting housing on Post?

Currently, there are three (3) methods in which to apply for on-post housing but I am discussing only 2, the 3rd one is just basic fill out the application and email it in:

a) Walk-In Applicant: Applicants may visit the Leasing and Relocation Center (LRC) located on the 6th floor of the Soldier Support Center, Bldg 4-2843, Normandy Dr., Fort Bragg. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Due to the weekend closure of the Soldier Support Center, the Leasing and Relocation Center will offer Saturday hours at an alternate on-post location from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. For directions and further information, please call (910) 495-0878.

b) Online Application: May be submitted via Picerne’s website, www.braggpicerne.com, by accessing ‘Military Housing Document Center’ and selecting ‘Onsite Housing Application’.

Well it depends on where you want to live (how close to the base) if you live in Fayetteville, then it depends on how much you want to pay. If you live like in Raeford, Cameron, or Hope Mills, then it depends on how far you are willing to drive.
